The opening ceremony of 2007 China (Guangzhou) International Bamboo and Rattan Industry Expo.& Online Exhibition  was grandly raised in the business assembly hall of Chinese Import & Export Fair in Guangzhou in the morning of Sept. 22, 2007.

The exhibition was greatly supported by The International Network for Bamboo and Rattan (INBAR) and government of Guangdong province. Jiang Zehui, the Co-Chairman of the board of directors from INBAR and the president of Chinese Bamboo Industry Association, attended to express her warm congratulations to the opening of the exhibition of bamboo and rattan personally, as well as declared the opening and cut the red ribbon for the exhibition.

The vice governor of Guangdong province attended the opening ceremony and raised a speech. He indicated that the exhibition for bamboo and rattan would play a role of central link and trade tie to the development of Chinese bamboo industry and would promote the development of Chinese bamboo industry.

Most of the main bamboo towns in China and nearly 200 enterprises were invited and attended the exhibition. During the period, many conferences were held, such as the appraisal of the handicraft exquisite bamboo & rattan products, the introduction of Chinese bamboo town, the seminar of international bamboo & rattan industry development and the awards ceremony of the exhibited products.

The Bamboo and Rattan Expo & Online Exhibition acted as an important window to promote the bamboo products and an effective platform to lead the bamboo industry go to the world, had attracted many national and international buyers to attend.
